Our Name
Becky’s first Chinese Crested, Finesse (Finny), joined her during grooming school and inspired her passion for understanding small breed dogs. When Finny passed away in 2004, the salon was named in her honor. Her legacy lives on in every pet cared for at Grooming With Finesse.
The Owner
As the region’s only award-winning and dual Certified Master Groomer and a past President of the Ontario Dog Groomers Association, Becky Misener brings decades of expertise to her craft.
Her journey began as a volunteer at The Grooming Shop in the Vancouver S.P.C.A., where she discovered a deep passion for grooming. Pursuing formal training at the Animal Haven School of Grooming in Surrey, British Columbia, Becky studied under internationally renowned groomer Sandy Potter and mastered advanced techniques such as hand stripping, carding, and hand-scissoring to breed standards.

Our team is committed to ongoing education through trade shows, seminars, and career-enhancement courses. Although uncommon in the industry, Becky supports and encourages all staff members in pursuing their Certified Master Groomer designation.
